Palava Through My Eyes

I am Dr. N. Purushothaman, a resident of Lakeshore Greens, and I have been lucky to call Palava home since January 1, 2019. Over the years, I have watched it grow into a lively, green, and self-sufficient community - one that truly feels alive and welcoming.

For someone like me, well into my seventies, Palava offers a balanced life.

The tree-lined avenues, landscaped gardens, clean air and open community spaces make every walk or outing a delight. The mix of high-rises and villas gives the neighbourhood character. Everything I need - shops, medical stores, water, electricity - is close at hand, and the whole township feels cared for.

Getting around is easy too. The AC shuttle buses come every 15 minutes, and if I want to visit Mumbai, there are convenient connections to Dombivli Railway Station.

What I love most is the sense of community. Palava is diverse and inclusive, and there’s always something happening. Whether it’s spending time at the park with my grandchildren, joining a yoga class, cheering at a sports match, or enjoying a movie at the clubhouse cinema, there’s a sense of life and togetherness everywhere.

Schools, banks, and healthcare facilities, including the AIMS Medical Centre, safety and security measures - make daily life simple and reassuring.

For me, Palava is more than a home - it’s a sanctuary. Peaceful morning walks, safe spaces, and warm, thoughtful neighbours make retirement feel full of hope and joy.

I often think - if every place offered even a little of what Palava does, wouldn’t life in our later years be truly something to cherish?
